Animal Diversity Data
As part of its biodiversity assessment last October 2019, the CONserve-KAIGANGAN Project 1 also conducted a faunal assessment in the forest over limestone ecosystems of Paranas, Taft, and Guiuan, Samar Island. Three transects were laid in Paranas, three transects in Taft, and 2 transects in Guiuan. The trapping methods for the vertebrate faunal assessment were adapted from the Manual on Biodiversity Assessment and Monitoring System for Terrestrial Ecosystems by Cruz et al. (2017).
